Artist statement about the redesign of the aids memorial (Bridge 4) 

I learned about timeliness in sculpture which can be translated into fashion.  I need to be aware of my fashion past as well as in other art forms that can be associated with it or its message like AIDS.  I also need to be aware of current trends revolving around fashion or whatever my work focuses on.  By doing this, I remain culturally and generally sensitive and appropriate so that my own message and design does not get lost in translation between interpretations with other’s work.
