TRACES

People walk and run on streets, coming and going, all with different purposes and destinations. Life and death, both significant events that are celebrated and mourned by families and friends. The concept of coming and going through human’s eyes, become visual evidences, which are stored in our minds as memories. Meanwhile, time ticks continuously, and infinitely. “Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the future, and also the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them.” In the perspective of time, these movements and the concept of coming and going, is evident through the air or wind, which fills up the negative space of all living things. “The perceptible natural movement of the air, especially in the form of a current of air blowing from a particular direction.” Thus, incorporating these thoughts, and some precedent works of other artists, I wanted to create a conceptual installation, which visualizes the wind based on time.
