Amanda Bellows, Lang instructor, presented her research on advertisements during the Civil War era at the University of Edinburgh’s American History Workshop in September. She also presented a paper on post-emancipation literature in the United States and Russia at the BrANCH 2018 conference held at Cambridge University in October.
