The New School Debate Team, a program of Lang’s Office of Civic Engagement and Social Justice, won the Novice division at the Wyoming Debate Tournament. Politics Faculty and Debate Coach Vik Keenan reports that after 3 days of intense competition around the question of US defense pacts and treaty obligations, New School Debate Team members Jean-Luc Montaudy and Quinn Kowitt won the championship in a close 2-1 decision against Monmouth University. Quinn Kowitt was also recognized with an individual speaker award.
