For this project i had to recount a sound that connects to my past that helped define me as a person, and i had a specific sound memory which actually embedded in my mind here is my written description of the sound memory:
There was just one night at the age of 7 where I was convinced I can stay home alone, that there was nothing to fear, and my home was safe. That night however changed something in me, after watching a scary movie I was walking past the kitchen to hear a high pitched resounding screech echoing through my ear drums. It was ear splitting, the sounds of a wolfs nails clawing through the hard surfaces of my wooden kitchen doors, a largo tempo with forte dynamics. I felt my heart pounding against the insides of my chest. It was a penetrating squawk, a recurrence of just one pitch, the pace of the scratch would not change, it was a continual rhythm, a never ending darkness over and over again scraping through the walls, scraping through my heart. Until today I never found out what animal stood behind those walls, trying to claw its way into my home.

After coming up with this memory, the goal was to then create a device that will focus my listeners attention specifically on the signal of the sound that was actually imbedded in my memory, so in this case, the screeches of a wolves nails against a wooden door. So my proposal is a design idea to be able to isolate the sound of the screeches from the rest of the environment, and have the user only be able to draw in the signals and qualities of my sound.
