These are images of my group and I at the very beginning of the semester taping cut lines through the alcove so that we can further understand the whole idea of orthographic drawings. We had to make a plan and a section cut for this alcove and this assignment really helped us get there.
After that we began looking at the light reflecting onto the ground and we had to tape around each square of sunlight. I loved this assignment as i never knew before how fast the sun moves, it only takes a minute after putting the tape down to have to put another tape down, and the transition is so smooth. I also learned that the light does not only depend on the time of day, but also the month/year as well. The shapes changed throughout the semester and i thought that was fascinating.
