This Resources + Support Site helps faculty engage with and use their students’ learning portfolios in the most effective ways.
Learning portfolios are tools to assist students in thinking holistically about their education and to help their instructors understand and support the student’s entire body of work and development. By serving as a location for saving and organizing students’ work throughout the development and final versions of projects, the learning portfolio offers opportunities for students to discover consistencies and connections across their varied experiences both in- and out-of-classroom, including coursework, employment, and co-curricular activities. Learning portfolio can help students reflect on all of their learning, see their own development, share their work with others, serve as a catalyst for collaboration and feedback from others and tell a story about their time at the university.
