1, The goal is to solve one problem in my neighborhood(Financial District). The 3 problems I found was waste of power, one-way traffic, and dull image of the neighborhood. I picked the last one: people usually feel here has nothing but financial, everyone is in business outfit and there is no place for fun, no restaurants, no interesting spots as other neighborhoods, and no everything.
2, I try to keep the elite aspects of the the men who work here, so I focus on elegant and casual lifestyles, and try to use soft gentle colors with black/white/grey.
3, For the final design, I have 2 outfit for male, one is more artistic for young, and the other is more uniform and tough for some experienced elders; also I have one outfit designed for female. There are so many ways that can avoid boring business suits. For example like wearing colored shirts; wearing some extra piece for more layers; try different combination of wearing a shirt, using the sleeves well; or even just wearing a cardigan is better that a grey suit with a tie. However, my goal is to bring people’s awareness and turn the dull image suddenly by having my design to be seen. So I designed 3 outfit that based on some common models that exist, and I modified them into a different shape and details.
