I focused on the link between my daily activity and my choice of outfit. Maybe it is a men’s thing, which I buy a certain style for occasions that I have already imagined, meaning that every clothes I buy has a reason. Some are for styling; some are for weathers; some are for comforts and everyday basis. It subconsciously helps me choose what to wear everyday. I do not really worry about picking outfits everyday.
The feeling of knowing myself being observed by others is the motivation for styling. The less social I have, the people I confront, the range I run around the city, the less I care about my appearance.
Clothes links my inner body with outside world. It effects me both physically and psychologically, and my looking contributes to the big overview image of the big social by being seen in public.
Lastly, I realize that functionality (pockets and overall comfort), how suitable for the weathers, the space between my body and the clothes; these belong to the one dimension of garments. The second dimension could be my self-reflection of the clothes, meaning clothes can psychologically effects my moods and actions. A deeper dimension beyond the image and identity that I want the other to see.
