Case Study Specific Design – Icon Texting App

Case Study Specific Design – Icon Texting App

Emojis have grown immensely popular over the past few years, so popular in-fact that an emoji translation of Mobi Dick has made it into the library of congress. I set off to design my own system of emojis based on everyday activities such as waking up, brushing my teeth, eating breakfast, walking, using my phone, talking, using an elevator, buying groceries, hanging out with friends, listening to music, etc. How can I communicate with others about what I was doing with simple icons? The resulted use is a sort of hieroglyphic system that requires some deciphering. Wether the app is frustrating or funny to use is really up to the user.
