Lygia was the first woman in que under the broad search. She is best known for her installation work and painting. Trained in Rio de Janiero, and later Paris, Lygia was one of the prime abstract artists of Brasil, was at the forefront of the Neo-Concretist movement. Her work was a an extention of psychoanalytical therapy.
