How can I make an unconventional, but sensuous collection based around a fleshlight
2. Record first image, thought, question, idea, felt-sense, emotion. (in words)
Well, I first wanted to photograph the fleshlight around fake flowers, because there are many references to the vagina dentada as a flower. The fleshlight is a disembodied imitation of a vagina- although its use for masturbation is very real, my use for it is random, and I have fun with it- but it is more “innocent”. I wanted to make an evocative series- although I felt my original photos of the astro turf and flowers fell very flat, and boring.
3. Follow the process until you have another image, thought, question, idea, felt-sense, emotion. Record that. (in words) My only image in mind was something around flowers, and hot dogs, hand with hot dogs, and replacing the hot dog with a fleshlight with ketchup and musard- maybe at a ball game
4. Once you have chosen what you will visualize please record the word for it.
5. Next you will choose a medium. Please record 1 sentence about why you chose the medium that you did.
I chose photography and i made a short video with my iphone. I was using my Canon 7D, but then I switched to my iphone because- this video is very silly, and I felt like I was trying to be too serious about this fleshlight assignment
