Brooklyn Botanical Garden: 03.01.16

I noticed the leaves of this plant because of their natural shine and the reflection of the light it created.

These trees caught my eye because of the white color and smoothness of the bark.

I thought it was interesting how plants are used to create a pathway, how it’s used as architecture.

For the image above and below, I noticed the bright colors and thought about all the colors that are found in nature.

I thought it was interesting how the plant grew along the man-made wall and began to take it over.

General observation: the plants all were directions towards the light (sun). Their growing pattern is influenced by light which could be an interesting concept when thinking of design. I mostly think of architecture and interior design when i think of nature influencing art and design.
