My chosen piece of garbage as a beer bottle!
How long has it been on the ground? Did its owner think about disposing it when purchasing it? Did its owner feel bad leaving it? Was it left as consequence of an already litter filled environment? (broken window theory)
Why wasn’t it recycled? I found the bottle in front of an apartment building on the ground with the garbage. This is odd because New York City makes it very easy to recycle glass, along with metal and plastic. All three can be put in the same bin and in order to be recycled, you need to acquire a free blue “NYC Recycles” decal from the NYC website. In addition, some glass bottles can be returned for a deposit.
I turned it into a self watering planter!
