In part 2 of the video walk we added my voice instead of the robotic computerised one. At the same time I gave directions as we were walking and we decided to put in the group members at different locations of the walk to create the feeling that the people experiencing the walk were experiencing it with us. We made a loop all the way past place Vendome almost all the way back to the school. This time, the video seemed so much longer and more difficult to follow. I think that what we did right was to put the human voice and to give directions. The music in the video was also effective because it gave a relaxing feeling to the walk. The voice was slow and probably easier to understand. I also think that the addition of the group members was effective especially Lara in the Church because it was subtle. What we should have done differently was think more about what each group member was doing, so that we could make their presence more subtle and less comical. Another thing we could have don was pick a shorter root so that people could concentrate and take in their surroundings better.
Over all I think that the project was challenging and that our walk was quite complicated, however, I thought that the idea of experiencing something through someone else’s eyes was interesting and eye opening. It really allowed people to get to know a place as opposed to walking by an not thinking of the surroundings.
