This week’s progression consisted of designing the sounds and creating a first video draft. For the design of the sounds I did a visual research in addition to a traditional one. My visual research consisted to look at pictures and videos of the past. Also, I had to find old documentaries which I could extract sounds from.

Visual Research
Because of the virus outbreak, I had no longer access to the iPads from school. This is why I had to give up on my initial plan, which is to create a video installation with iPads. I had to find as a compromise a digital strategy in order to create the same psycho-geographic effect I initially wanted to convey. I decided to work with scenes and “vignettes” replacing the screens. The vignettes are organized in the same way as the iPad screens were supposed to: based on the map of the Georges Brassens Parc.
