Description
Metro tickets are present everywhere we go in Paris. Whether it’s on the streets, or in the corner of a building, a ticket can be seen on a Daily basis by everyone in the city.
When we see something every day, its presence in our life becomes of mild importance. Seeing it becomes a habit, to the extent that the ‘object’ itself can’t be ‘seen’ anymore.
What I worked on for this collage is the idea of exaggerating and multiplying. By concentrating myself on two aspect of the train ticket, I wanted to make the audience reflect on these details, and really see them.
Feedback
- The fact that the image is 2D and not 3D makes it loose its impact.
- If I were to change the object itself, therefore making a 3d sculpture, the impact on the audience can be more powerful.
- Work on why you choose the objects
- The humorous and useless aspect of the exaggerated objects should be what I focus on.
Reflection
The idea I have needs to be more precise: detournement or humour?
I also have to find the reason why I chose the objects, something that ties them together, since ”everyday objects” is too broad of a term.
