For my taxonomy project, I decided to further research my topic by going to the Museum of the City of New York which was an extremely eye opening experience seeing that this was a museum that I have never or would ever normally recreationally go to. While I was there, I actually found a lot of objects (shoes, toys, entertainment) and architecture (of the museum itself) that depicted the preferences and/or norms of the traditional social class hierarchy. But most importantly, I found the Stettheimer Dollhouse which showcased various rooms of middle class and upper class lifestyles thus inspiring me for my final project while at the same time connecting me to my original piece at the Whitney.
