I saw this material as a form to portray transparency that comes with Wright’s last line, “I have wasted my life”. Due to the flexibility of the material I could cut it and use it as pieces to create a corset or a mask. I also think that because of how “rough” the material looks, this presents the emotional journey that Wright goes through as he comes to his final realization.

One of my original keywords was “black”. However, I realized that I could represent decay through a series of dark colors such as grey and even white turning into this dark shade of gray. This material to me represents decay due to its texture which looks like trash and waste.

I treat this material as an alternative to the CVD clear, depending on which material would be easier to use. Since this is a material that is allowed in the laser lab, it is one I would probably be more lenient towards.
