Wojciech Zameczknik – Unorthodox

I find myself constantly exploring new artists that are related to poster deign/typography/graphic design, so I do end up falling down an internet k-hole, one artist leads to another. I came across Wojciech, a designer from the 40s throughout the 1960s, his production of type design is so interesting because there was no use of a machine, computers were not available, his use of multi media is considered avant garde and experimental. Throughout his career, he created works that were tied to music, because of his passion for music, I connected to this, because in my future I hope to find a career that can marry my love for graphic design and music/film/theatre, a perfect job where nothing in my life is sacrificed! He was also a photographer and this made a presence into his poster design. I have recently discovered analog photography as a hobby and have found small ways to incorporate this part of myself into my body of work. Apart from 2D design on album covers and posters, he explored interior and set design. In every stage in his career, he was constantly testing his limits and expanding mediums, which is what made him consistently active and relevant from the 40s to 1960s.
