The Beverage project was a group project in which we had to come up with a beverage to promote. My group decided to do Champagne. Our concept was the idea of the game, “Chess”. Therefore, we decided to name our champagne “Checkmate”. In this collection of champagne, we included the four most iconic pieces in the game: the King, the Queen, the Bishop and the Castle. Each bottle is matte black with its distinctive chess piece as the lid coated in a silver sheen to contrast the dark bottles. The concept behind the boxes -when opened- creates a chess board (if all bottles are purchased and put together). The inside of the box includes a luxurious red velvet to complete the sophisticated look of the project. It is a nice contract to the hard wooden boxes we made. We created our lids out of clay, laser cut the wood, and spray painted our bottles.
Here are some pictures of the steps and process of our project.
