Drawing and Imaging- Torso Drawing Reflection

During class, we had a model come in to pose for our figure drawing session. For this particular session, I decided to use various types of charcoals and conté. I wanted to incorporate different colours within my figure drawing and focus on the torso of the body. I had a lot of fun doing this as I don’t usually work in charcoal or conté. I gained experience with the medium and gives me an extra option when choosing my medium for future projects and assignments. I found the brown paper to be a nice addition to the overall final look of the drawing and I will continue using brown paper for other drawings. With this particular drawing, I started off by outlining the torso with a darker colour and eventually using the lightest (the white) to highlight certain aspects of the body. All in all, I enjoyed doing this piece and I am happy with the end result.
