When thinking of the traditional “A-Line” Dress, simplicity is usually a main factor that is associated with this timeless design. However, even with the end product looking simple, the process of creating the piece; not so much. Personally, I found this project the most difficult one out of the three- the main reason being that I am not familiar with illustrator or Spoonflower. We started off by draping our A-Line design, and then creating our patterns and from there, scanning them onto illustrator so that we could manipulate our pieces and send them into spoonflower to be printed onto fabric. As mentioned before, I am not the most tech savvy person out there and with my lack of experience with illustrator, my patterns unfortunately came out smaller than I had intended as well as the color I originally wanted (which was red) came out to be a vibrant orange instead. All in all, despite the problems along the way that I had to solve, I am happy with the outcome of my garment.
