mycelium
I use the mycelium kit as a part of my final. After activated the mycelium, I prepared two molds, one is a pair of gloves and the other is a plastic bottle. I put the mycelium in at the same time, however, the mycelium in the bottle stopped growing. The glove one grows into the shape. After I cut out the mold and let it dry for days, it becomes relative hard and ready to use on my sculpture.
kombucha leather
I started the kombucha leather at the beginning of October. It grows a little bit, but it didn’t form a sheet as it should be. The kombucha leather is floating in the middle of the container. At first, I thought is my room is too cold, so I borrowed a heating pad from school. There is more floc formed in the container, however, it still didn’t form a sheet as it should be.
