I visit the New Museum, and was so inspired by the visual effect that the artist made to create the kind of feeling of forest and sober attitude.
It’s called the PIXEL FOREST by PIPILOTTI RIST
This whole idea of “Help”, inspired my project in the way of “Saving Broadway Show”
I started to sketch why work in the form of OPEN THEATER
I wanted to construct this indoor open theater as in a way of remembering the Classic Broadway Show, to emphasize how the Classiness of old school art starting to turn into commercialize art. The idea of doing this screw shape is to link back to my dream, which is to be a dancer. So, when you look from above of this art piece, it can create the kind of feeling of a ballet dress.
I created this shape and made two of it, when I built it overlapping with each other, it can be enter in any area and end up at the same spots “what goes around, comes around.” You can also go across it in the middle.
I painted it with the metal leaves, so it looks like my style and cut the mirror paper into pieces, to show the broken pieces of performing art. I tried to place them with each other, and I figure out the reflection is the kind of feeling that I want, so I built three walls.
