SEQUENTIAL NARRATIVE (Eric Cheng)
This piece of work reflects memories with my father. For me, memories with my father are connected with growth. It is impressive to me when I gradually understood the fact that with I growing more mature each day, my father is actually getting older. The relationship between my father and I, in the past eighteen years, seems changed from the one to rely on to the best friend. I think this kind of change can be best express the pass of time and can be best reflected by action of hand.
I could still remember how I hold my father’s one finger because my hands were too small.
At around age of five, I always got tired after back from kindergarten, sleeping on my father’s shoulder became one of the sweetest thing to do everyday.
At age of seven, I was not that much willing to go to the primary school, so I hugged my father’s leg and beg him not to send me there.
In middle school, the relationship between my father and I changed to good friend. I liked to hug his his neck and walk with him like good brothers.
All the actions seemed to be awkward to me after I entered high school, so I would rather choose to hold my father’s arm than hugging around his neck or even holding his hands.
Now, I went to another country and would hardly have chance to review all the moments with him again.
