Animal Pattern Research (Eric Cheng)

This is the second step of ‘second skin’ study (First one in series of three).  The skin that I chose to research is armadillo for the reason that although armadillo is a kind of hard shell animal it can curl up into a ball immediately when it meets enemy. So there must be some functions on its skin that helps armadillo moves that quick. So I did this research to find out those functions.

  This is the second step of ‘second skin’ study (Second one in series of three).  The skin that I chose to research is  chameleon. I noticed that the eyes of chameleon have a characteristic that can move at a extremely high speed when they need to catch something. So I divided the structural around its eyes into four parts. And decided to make those parts all in one when the skin needed to be tested on paper.

  This is the second step of ‘second skin’ study ( Third one in series of three).  Crocodile is a common reptile that can be found in many places around the world. It is the enemy of many animals and can either attack or protect itself very well when it needs. So I try to explore the structural of crocodile skin, especially the characteristic of layer and hard shell to get a better understanding of second skin.
