Bridge 2: Deconstructing and Contextualizing a Public Space

These are my site drawings for my studio bridge project 2, deconstructing and contextualizing a public space. These site drawings are of this area at the end of the Pier, at the Hudson River Park.

Self on Site experience:

The sentiment/ambiance at the Pier was really calm and relaxing, mainly because the Pier doesn’t get crowded and is often empty. Also, the space allows people to do various activity. The Pier is a gratifying and inviting area. The main reason that I chose to carry out research at the Pier throughout this semester, is because It reminds me of my home, Dubai and I feel connected to home. The Pier there has a similar view to the Pier here, in New York, of buildings and the river.
