Figure Drawing

I had never done figure drawing prior to this class so there were many difficulties that I encountered. I don’t particularly enjoy drawing so I don’t practice it much but it was very interesting to see my drawings evolve after applying what I learned the prior week. I found it frustrating not being able to to draw what I saw since the model was right in front of me so the longer poses were discouraging since I had the time to add more detail but didn’t know how to draw them out. I enjoyed using charcoal because of the way it could be manipulated and I liked the messy finish look. Figure drawing was definitely an experience and although I’m relieved it’s over I am happy I got the chance to try it.
