Week 3:

Notes from the station:

Two different aesthetic versions of my final map design, showing both the physical space of the station in relation to the streets and some of the station’s history.

Week 2:

The final two designs were my overall favorites. The first of the two is my favorite when combining all elements into one image, and the last design is my favorite when using a series of images to tell a story over time.

The audience I envision for this piece would be parents, educators and education policy makers. It’s a bit difficult to determine the best audience, since where the external pressure on students is coming from varies from student to student. However I think there is societal pressure on every student which is often reinforced by parents and educators. I think the best space for this to be displayed in order to reach this audience would be around a school. Perhaps specifically in meeting rooms, administrative offices, or teacher work spaces. I think it could serve as a general reminder that students mental health should be considered when creating competitive environments.
