For the last week, there was something in my appearance that I haven’t ignored for this long since middle school: my facial hair. Now yes, my goatee is still present, but it’s something else and that is my mustache and eyebrows. I have not shaved my mustache for a whole week, and I did not miss having it for good reason. My eyebrows are also the messiest they’ve been since middle school. For the week nobody noticed the little, yet persistent hairs that were growing above my lips; nobody also pointed out that my eyebrows weren’t as sharp. Having a growing mustache like this makes me look like I don’t care about my appearance, and growing up I’ve been taught that presentation makes good first impressions, and living in New York means presentation is everything. Hence, this is why I shave it every other day. Although I do appreciate not having to spend 7$ on my eyebrows this week, I’m dying to go back to my threading shop.
