Maria Narvaez Rodriguez is a junior at International School For Liberal Arts in the Walton Campus. Maria was born in San Jose, Costa Rica but raised in the Dominican Republic and currently living in the Bronx, New York. She is a part of the Youth Technical Assistance Center on Addressing Disproportionality (YTAC-D), a New York University (NYU) and Department of Education (DOE) based research towards disproportionality in NYC public schools and being part of the student council in her high school. Narvaez has different interests. She likes photography and film, reading which has shaped her personality and inspirations and is currently part of the swimming team, table tennis team and student government in her school. She tries to make her work have a sense of identity and culture.
