Today we finally presented the final presentation of our project Displaceus, focused on climate refugee, and I am extremely proud of the work that my team and I put forward. It really made me feel like I had flashed forward to the future and was working in the real world with the amount of effort, commitment, and development that we put into the project. I walked away from this semester feeling like I learned a lot not only about climate change, refugees, and policy, but about how I work in a group and how an amazing team makes it hardly feel like work at all. This project has definitely made me question my place in terms of future professions. I had been back and forth a lot this semester in terms of determining what line of work interests me most, and this project made me realize that I want to put work into this world that actively pushes for change. I want to have a business that helps the world, not contributes to growing issues for the sake of pushing a product to generate profit. I want to help people and I want to make positive impacts so this project really helped me realize that about myself. I am excited for the future.
