The film Un Chien Andalou plays with the order of events and visual effects. The razor blade slicing through the woman’s eye and the ants on the man’s hand were visually disturbing yet were innovative effects for the time the film was made. The film also cuts to different times out of chronological order. Although this film consisted of some visually disturbing scenes the juxtaposition of events was appealing.
