It’s been a long and tiring semester because of my insane junior major classes, but Space is really the class that make me happy.
From the very beginning, we did a wearable wire project — I made a handbag out of wire.
Then, we moved on from one dimensional to two dimensionals for the “inhabit space” project.
I made this wooden multi-faceted five-sided box, with a cap, inspired by Muji’s super clean-edged crafted design. There’s a bag of marble inside.
In the middle of the semester, we made our own cameras based on two rolls of films, a fire matches case, a small turning stick and some tape and small metal pieces. (Im so sad that I did not take picture of my camera before open it up for film developing!) But below are my results. They turned out much better than I thought.
Lastly, for my third project, a molding project that went from two dimensional draft researching to three dimensional building, I did this plaster cube. Inspired by the sight — kitchen — I includes texture such as finger prints, forks, spoon and chopsticks.
