I began draping my previous fabric, deconstructed shirt and old zipper tape to form the shape I had wanted.
In the draping it created a beautiful V-neck shape, and a slight peplum. I began with a muslin sample. After making it casual fit, decided to change it to a fitted form.
After laying out the scrap fabric, I realized the striped part had to be the main piece.
This fitted dress shirt is influenced by femininity and urbanization through petal sleeves and peplum shape with the utilization of multiple geometric patterns. It’s intended for a strong, but playful woman for the Spring/Summer season.
