Sarah Halpern works with film, paper, music and performance. Her full time profession as a projectionist has deeply influenced her creative work which deals with the tactility of film, perception of time, and the power the viewer has over the image. Halpern’s work has shown mostly in NYC where she lives, at venues including Anthology Film Archives, The Kitchen, Millennium Film Workshop, Microscope Gallery, and NYFF’s Views from the Avant Garde. She frequently collaborates with Matt Wellins and is a founding member of Optipus Film Group.
