Build the lantern you have drawn, designedand mocked up withBristol using materials of your choice.Your materials must be connected using a methodof attachment that youhave designed. *Glue is not permittedto join materials.Remember, you are building a container for light therefore, the materials that you select and they way in which you use them will directly affect both the quality and quantity of light that is emitted. The lantern exterior and interior can be ‘soft’ or ‘hard’, your choice, but it must be freestanding andat least one face of the lantern enclosure must be removable for access to its interior.Review your material selectionsand assembly techniques with your instructorprior to commencing construction on your lantern. Illuminate the interior spaceof the lantern using a flashlight app on your phone or small, battery powered light source. The light mustbe whiteand solid(i.e. no colored, rotating colors, flashing or blinking lights).
