One of the myth is about how bamboo appear to be in human world. In ancient china, the god queen mother was drunk on a party, then a girl named Asaka fairy who loves the human world stole the bamboo seed from the drunk queen mother. She brought the seed on the human world, and gives the seed to a man she fell in love with, then they married and plant a lot of bamboo on the mountain. But the god queen mother later found out the fairy stole the seeds, and she try to take the fairy away from the human world. However, all the people from the human world dont want to see Asaka fairy go. So they made a bet, if the bamboo can reach to the sky after 50 days, the god mother will let Aska fairy stay in the human world. At the 49th day, the bamboo have already reaches to the sky, but the god queen mother don’t want to lose, she secretly cut off the bamboo. The Asaka Fairy found out and uses her own blood to plant the bamboo, then the bamboo reache to the sky within one day, the god queen mother lose the bet, unfortunately the Asaka Fairy died because she uses all of her blood, she then become a water spring near the bamboo in the human woorld.
