Team 5: Shirley, Franky, Ashley, Alda

In the urban environment, we are constantly surrounded by a myriad of different sounds. All of us are exposed to a mixture of sounds from people, machines, nature and many other elements. But somehow, the experience of hearing can be distracted by the visual cognitive overload from the rest of the world. In this project, we recorded several pieces of sounds and composed a daily audio diary. It starts from the early morning and ends at night. We take the listener through an audio soundscape free from the influences of visuals allowing the participant to freely conjure images of their own imagination. Not being influenced by the pictures, the audience will more likely be able to focus on details that are often overlooked.
