My assigned peer, Elissa chose Nikon N55 camera for a her object. The camera itself had a lot of sentimental value; She related it to her brother, who made her interested in photography to begin with. She also related it to coming out of her shyness, gaining friendships that she wouldn’t have been able to otherwise, and having a primary trait that people recognized her as and set her apart from others; photographer. The first attempt at this project, as you may remember, was not so great. I do not have a picture of that part of my design process, because I threw out right after the class that i presented it. For my second attempt I wanted to capture the sentimental value of Elissa’s camera not so literally. By using Elissa’s actual photography with the same drawing of her camera, I wanted to express how although the sights that she saw became different over time, photography has been the one constant in her life.
