Wood joint

The wood joint is our first wood project, as a practice for us to learn how to connect wood in different ways. I started with the easiest one, butt joint. It’s just simply cut a straight side and put them together. The Miter joint is also easy to do. I cut one side of the wood into slope then they perfectly match together. The dowel joint is interesting to do, we dig some holes on the wood, and cut some stick, polish them. Then the two pieces of wood can connect together by the stick. The rabbit joint need accurate measurement. We need to cut a part of the side in the same size so we can connect them. The mortise and tendon joint is harder to do. We need to dig a square on one piece of wood, and cut the other one into the same shape so we can put it into the other one. The finger joint is the most effective way in my point of view. We cut the wood into the concave-convex shape so that they can fit without being glued.
