Describe the design elements that inspired you to choose this piece.
I chose the Valentino dress, spring/ summer 1970 haute couture, Ivory silk organza embroidered with white and ivory silk, sequins, and seed beads. As the description suggests, this elegant dress instantly caught my eye because of its intricately sought out details, that made the dress ever so sophisticated.
How does this piece relate or compare to the other garments in the collection?
The garments throughout the gallery all seemed to have a slight vintage aura. However, although this Valentino dress was from a collection nearly 5 decades ago, it did not seem outdated at all. It might be due to how the thin scarf is currently in trend, yet how the details

repurposed accessory or garment

For the repurposing garment, I have created a bag, inspired by my 3 objects, which are:
1. CHLOE perfume,
2. Victoria Secret Shopping bag,
3. Notebook
To represent my notebook, I have used a Cosmopolitan Magazine and flipped it inside out. For the Victoria Secret shopping bag, I have used Club Monaco paper bag instead and to attach the magazine, I have punched holes to slide the ribbons in. This repurposed bag was especially inspired by my group of objects that I have categorized as ” My Aesthetic”, and to convey such idea, I have placed my bag with my other objects on the last photo to show how visually matching the bag is to my object (heels). Lastly, the white ribbon is to represent the Chloe Perfume bottle, which has an iconic ribbon attached to the perfume bottle that made it idiosyncratic.
