Iterative Pattern Object

To start off this project, we were asked to perform street photography and collect at least 50 photographs, paying close attention to the patterns in the world. Then, we were to choose 5 most successful pictures and develop them — through Photoshop — into digital patterns. Below are my 5 digital patterns, contrasted with the original picture that I took.

Then, we were to choose 1 pattern — in which I chose the 1st — and develop it further into a 3D iterative pattern model. This object will ultimately become an unconventional upper-body garment — a “wearable wall.”

However, this first version of the garment seemed to lack depth, despite being 3D. Therefore, I continued expanding on this object and ended with the final work that I photographed on a model.
