I was inspired by George Harwell and Philip-Lorca Dicorcia for my portraits, and I was inspired by Man Ray for my still lives, specifically his photograms
For these studio shots I set up two Arri lights one with a light blue modifier and a dark blue modifier, and I occasionally set up a third Arri overhead. I let the models decide how they wanted to be photograph. The topless pictures were all them. For the still lives I set up a number of chairs and set them up haphazardly. For some photos I included pocket items like metrocards and a coffee cup. My analog still lives were taken in Inwood and consist of items placed against a nature background. My analog portraits consist of two portraits inside apartments and one outside on a playground.
