The Chrysler Building

The Chrysler Building is a skyscraper located in Manhattan. It currently functions as an office building. The style of the architecture is Art-Deco, which emerged during the 1920s. It was designed by William Van Alen and was completed on May 27, 1930. The Chrysler Building was the tallest until the Empire State Building finished construction in 1931. It is recognizable by its crown at the top of the building. While the outside out the building is grey, visitors will be surprised to find that the lobby is decorated with warm colors. The floors are inlaid wood, there is a mural on the ceiling and it is lit with golden lighting.
