The theme for this project was home in unfamiliar places. My partner and I chose songs that remind us of home and played them in different locations here in New York. The locations are Central Park, a subway station, and Grand Central Station. We then edited the sounds so that some parts would be played backwards. The box with mirrors and lights is also an unfamiliar place. It is meant to evoke a sense of isolation. We attached small speakers inside the box so that our sounds could be played.
