Art has always played an important role in my life. I have always been an introvert. The mere thought of speaking in front of a crowd terrifies me. But through art, I have the ability to translate my thoughts, ideas, and beliefs onto a piece of paper or a canvas. In this magazine, I am illustrating two comics. I believe that comics are a great way to convey messages to all ages, whether you are a teen or an adult. In middle school and high school, I read a lot of magazines geared toward teen girls. However, I rarely saw the use of illustration. In Ivy Magazine I hope to inspire teen girls, who like me, have an interest in drawing.
