I think the first one I made was just strictly following the demo, as it was my first time experimenting with this kind of 3d material. I found it extremely difficult to work with tape, as it looked messy and it interfered with when I painted. I also found that shapes were limiting, since I didn’t have the confidence or experience to work with more advanced shapes, and wanted to stick to straight edges. For my final one, I tried to incorporate the demos examples as well as put in a few of my own that I saw while looking for inspiration. I wanted a dainty small village in the mountains kind of atmosphere, so I used watercolors to paint to give it a more washed look. I think instead of using masking tape, if there were invisible glue or double sided tape, it would look a lot neater.
