My project examines the relationship between sustenance and society and politics. Using philosophical, biological, and personal research to showcase an ongoing crisis of waist that impacts societies and the environment.
I plan to create an installation using food and objects and highlighting their decomposition and fetishization as it reflects on society. (Probably also backing it up with photo documentation). Food is the only thing that connects every single human being on this earth and becomes a metaphor that is applicable in several contexts.
This project raises awareness of an ongoing socio-environmental problem that is very underlining in several other issues, and that is currently put on the backburning due to current events.
